Passport Bros

Bas & J. Cole

Dreamville’s dynamic duo delivers here.

I’m convinced Dreamville is the coolest collective in hip-hop history. Everyone in the group, from J. Cole to Bas to Ari Lennox to EarthGang, is creative, laidback, and far from clout-chasers. In general, their music has a way of making me feel uplifted and joyful. Although I don’t anticipate a new Dreamville mixtape hitting the shelves anytime soon, we were fortunate to receive a delightful new song showcasing the talents of Bas and J. Cole: “Passport Bros.”

Here’s my recommendation: Before pressing play on “Passport Bros,” grab a Mojito. This song exudes a feel-good island vibe that’ll have you moving to the rhythm. Bas brings intoxicating melodies and soothing vocals that beautifully align with his lyrics, celebrating the enjoyment of the finest liquors and embracing love without fear. Meanwhile, J. Cole takes the stage with an assertive rap verse that perfectly complements his lyrics about jet-setting across countries and mingling with stunning women reminiscent of Mya. Depending on my surroundings, I might find myself completely captivated by this track.

Give Bas and Cole’s “Passport Bros” a shot below.
