G-Eazy’s 2025 return with “Helium” is predictable—but still satisfying.

5. GRWM
This song went surprisingly hard, y’all. I didn’t expect this kind of opener for the album, but G-Eazy apparently wanted to start things off at 100. “GRWM” brings a lot of energy and intensity with it. With bumping beats and absolutely crazy bars, this song perfectly introduces you to the chaos within the Helium album.
4. How Can You Sleep
“How Can You Sleep” is a song I can definitely see being played over and over again on my favorite radio stations. This track feels more pop-forward and mainstream, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s relatable, catchy, and quick to get stuck in your head. The featured artist, Olivia O’Brien, has a very flowy, soulful voice that contrasts nicely with G-Eazy’s more rugged tone.
3. Fight & F*ck
G-Eazy is the CEO of writing about toxicity in relationships — but honestly? I’m here for it. This song is smooth and sexy, but it almost feels wrong to think that way when so much of the track focuses on the struggles that come with the couple’s arguments. It’s all about the two getting drunk, screaming at each other, leaving, and eventually making up. The single is slower, silkier, with a catchy chorus and darker, more distant vibes.
2. Helium
Have you ever had someone make you feel like you needed them as much as the air you breathe? That’s exactly what “Helium” is showcasing. This love song—and the album’s title track—is all about being addicted to someone and needing more, more, more of them. You feel high off their presence and simply can’t get enough. The track is laid-back and feels summery and fun, with X Ambassadors bringing beachy vibes through their vocals.
1. Kiss The Sky
“Kiss The Sky” is a track that makes you feel light, airy, and vibey. Unsurprisingly, the song is all about getting high. G-Eazy encourages letting go, tripping, and allowing yourself to relax and embark on a euphoric adventure. You’ll feel like your head is in the clouds, without a care in the world. While the track features a strong beat and darker, sensual undertones, it still manages to feel lighthearted and chill despite its lusty aura.

G-Eazy is back in 2025—and I might get canceled for saying this—but not much has changed. Unlike some of my previous reviews, his new album Helium is exactly what I expected it to be. That’s not a bad thing.
The 10-track project feels like classic G-Eazy. Everything I loved about the rapper back when his songs dominated my playlists in 2017 is still alive and well in this release. He blends pop, hip-hop, and rap effortlessly, with subtle hints of R&B that pair perfectly with his signature voice and swagger. G-Eazy stays smooth, consistent, and confident, with an easy flow that’s made for radio. I wouldn’t be surprised if half of these tracks started climbing charts soon.
The album explores familiar G-Eazy territory—love, heartbreak, and self-destructive vices. Some songs dive into toxic relationships, others into drug-fueled nights, and the production often carries a hazy, trippy energy that matches the themes. Still, despite its predictability, Helium is the G-Eazy I was hoping for. It’s sleek, it’s stylish, and yes—I already added a few of these songs to my playlists.
